It’s Our 1-Year Anniversary!!

It’s hard to believe that its been a year since we launched District Motherhued! Seriously, where did 365 days go?…

Since launching in August 16, we’ve amassed a dedicated social media following of over 2500 across all platforms, hosted 6 sold out, highly reviewed events ( The Mom Loft, A Hue-tiful Thanksgiving, A Holiday Beauty Fete, Moms Wine Out, Look Whose Talking Now and the nations FIRST Mommy en Blanc), and have been featured by DCist, Fox 5, Good Morning Washington, Mimi Cutelips, ESSENCE and CEO MOM Magazine. We’ve had the opportunity to work with many sponsors including Industrial Bank, Mielle Organics, Smarty Pants Water, One Hope Wine, Lancome, Bloomingdale’s and more.

Outside of our engaged community and events, we enjoy giving back to our moms by highlighting their business, hosting giveaways and donating to their causes.  We ended our loving and successful year in the most meaninful way possible,  with the #DMforHarvey give back!  With the power of social media and the strong bond within the #DMVMomTribe , through donations , we were able to raise shipping funds to ship 10 extra large boxes to our on the ground contacts in Houston, Dallas and the surrounding areas! We couldn’t have been more proud!
